I am interested in purchasing a Jetson product, how can I do so?
This summer we are launching our ecommerce store. Make sure you are signed up for our newsletter to be notified of the launch! Until then you can call 888-976-9904 to place an order. Jetson products are also available nationwide at retailers such as Target, Kohl's, Best Buy, and Walmart.

Is my hoverboard safe? What is UL 2272?
All Jetson products go through vigorous testing and are built with the best components to ensure safety. All batteries are made and tested with current top tests and safety standards with UL 2272. UL Listed means that UL has tested represented samples of the product and determined that it meets their requirements. These requirements are based primarily on UL’s published and nationally recognized Standard for Safety. References to UL and the UL listing may include the UL Listing Mark, which is a hologram sticker placed on the bottom of your hoverboard.
Is my hoverboard waterproof?

Jetson hoverboards are water resistant, not waterproof. You should not ride them during inclement weather or through puddles or other large bodies of water and mud. 

How do I reset or recalibrate my Jetson hoverboard?

Turn off the hoverboard and place it on a flat surface with the pads facing up. Please make sure that the pads are facing up during this entire process. Push in the ON/OFF button and do not let go. Please continue to push in the button even after hearing “Powered on.” Do not release the button until you hear “calibration successful.” You can now turn off the device and turn it back on. Your device will be back to factory settings.

Please note: If you adjusted your skill level in app, you may have to readjust it after recalibrating. 

My hoverboard is not balancing properly, how can I get it to balance?

Try recalibrating your board. If that doesn't fix the issue, check if both pads have power by testing each pad independently. If one of the pads doesn't have power please contact support at customerservice@jetsonbike.com

How can I stop my hoverboard from shaking and vibrating?

First, recalibrate the board. If this doesn't solve the issue, try adjusting the sensitivity level in the Ride Ready app. You can also try lowering the driving force and/or max speed for the hoverboard in the app as well. 

Why does my charger feel so hot when plugged into the wall?
You should only charge your hoverboard until it's fully charged as indicated by the green light. If you're charging for the prescribed amount of time and the problem is still occuring, please contact customerservice@jetsonbike.com.
How long does it take to charge my hoverboard?
When charging the device, it takes up to 2 hours to fully charge. The charger light will turn green when the battery is fully charged. If your battery is low, we do recommend that you dismount the hoverboard and charge the device. Please note: while charging your device, the battery information on the app will not be 100% accurate.
I forgot my charger at home. Can I use my friend's charger?
Please only use Jetson official UL chargers when charging your hoverboard. It is not recommended to use another charger.
My hoverboard is fully charged, but when I step on, it doesn't move. How can I fix this?

First try recalibrating the board, if that does not work, please contact customerservice@jetsonbike.com

Why is my hoverboard slow?
All Jetson hoverboards are pre-programmed to the intermediate skill level. If you would like to change your skill level to advanced and increase sensitivity and speed, then you could do that in the settings. Additionally, if your device is not charged and has a low battery, the hoverboard will run slower.
Can I use my hoverboard on rough surfaces?
All our hoverboards are intended to use on flat, hard surfaces and not intended to use on unsteady surfaces, such as sand, gravel, pebbles, or rocks. Riding on unsteady surfaces can lead to injury and damage to your hoverboard. Keep in mind that riding up and down inclines requires experience and although a rider is able to ride up or down an incline with our hoverboards, we do encourage wearing helmets and pads to avoid injury. Do not under any circumstances use a hoverboard on stairs.
Can I adjust the volume on my hoverboard?
Not at this time. The volume is set at this level for safety reasons.
Only one speaker is working on my hoverboard. Is this a defect?

No, the hoverboards are designed that way.

Do the lights beat to my music?
Your lights are fully customizable via the app with color and brightness levels, however, they do not beat to your music.
I forgot my Bluetooth hoverboard password. What do I do?
Recalibrate your hoverboard to reset back to factory setting.
I tried changing my skill level in app, but it won't change. Why?

Please make sure you are connected to your hoverboard via Bluetooth and your device is on. You will not be able to change your skill level while you are on your hoverboard, please dismount the hoverboard and try again. You will notice a confirmation by sound on your hoverboard and a change in your settings in the app.

How can I get a new shell for my hoverboard?

You can purchase parts for your hoverboard through Jetson. Please email customerservice@jetsonbike.com or call 888-976-9904 to place an order.

Where can I find spare parts for my bike?
We carry all the spare parts for our bikes. Please call us at 888-976-9904 to place an order.
Who can perform service on my bike?

Depending on what type of work needs to be done, either a Bicycle Shop, an Electric Bike Shop or a Scooter shop can perform maintenance on your bike. Jetson Bike can directly supply any Jetson-specific parts to you or the shop as well as answer any questions regarding maintenance procedures.

How do I charge the battery on my Jetson Gen 1 Electric Bike?
Use the included charger by plugging one end into the battery and plugging the other end of the charger into any normal 100v wall outlet. The batteries for our adult bikes can be charged either using a charge-port on the bike, or by removing the battery from the bike and charging the battery outside of the bike.
What if I lose the keys to my Jetson Gen 1 Electric Bike?

Each Jetson Gen 1 Electric Bike has a unique set of keys, just like your car. This is for added security to ensure no one else can access your bike. Each bike comes with two keys, so we suggest carrying one with you and keeping the spare in a safe place. If you do happen to lose both keys, you can replace the ignition set by calling customer service at 888-976-9904 and supplying us with your original purchase documentation.

How do I open the seat to get to the battery on my Jetson Gen 1 Electric Bike?

Please use the same key you use for the ignition, find the key-slot on the left side of the bike below the seat and pop open!

Can two people ride at the same time on the Jetson Electric Bike?
Yes, the original Jetson Electric Bike (Gen 1) has a rear seat and tabs protruding from the rear wheel axle that the second rider can rest their feet on. All other Jetson bikes are for use by one rider only.
Where is my serial number located?

On a Jetson Gen 1 Electric Bike you can find the serial number on the frame behind the rear shock. Please note that the motor and battery also have their own serial numbers as well. 

Do I need a license to ride a Jetson?

No! According to Federal Law, the Jetson is an electric bicycle and not a motorized vehicle. Read the Federal Electric Bicycle Law here.
